Fieldcraft is essentially the art of living and moving in the field.  Cadets will be taught the basics of fieldcraft, including camouflage and concealment, how to cook and eat in the field, and also how to build shelter.  Some of this training will take place on the squadron in the classroom, but you will get to put it in to practice both on the squadron and also on weekend camps.

 

Leadership

Leadership training is regularly carried out at the squadron to give each cadet a chance to develop their skills further by leading a team in completion of a task, be it navigating from one place to another or just simply solving a problem.  This allows some of the younger cadets to become more confident and helps the staff to identify those cadets who would make good NCOs as they progress through the Corps.
